I use a RITTER gig bag (4000 series). Quality good and large enough, I think, to accept your bongo 5. To be sure, test it ; the lack of place could concern the headstock but not the rest of your bass.

I have an Incase for my Stingray 4, but it is much too short for the Bongo 5. I've managed to squeeze it in to a cheapo Levy's case, but I really could do with something of much better quality.

I have one of the nice leather Levy's bags (LM19). The Bongo 5 fits in it without any problem.

I'm currently waiting on the Atlanta Bass Gallery to get some of the nice Levy's double bags so I can try it with my Bongo 5s.

Bongos will fit in most gig bags. Just find one that is well padded.
but be careful about the zipper skimming the top of the headstock on the inside of the bag!

just an observation... why not go with a hardshell case. I strictly use the hardshell for everything i own and it's worth the extra few bucks! Believe me... it's cheaper in the long run!

ya AND be sure that the top is smoothly padded, my single gig bags are Levys CM19(i think, the cheap ones) and they're great but my double gig bag is a no-name brand that isn't so smooth on the inside and I just noticed the finish from the tip of my BC fretless is wearing through to the wood...... so here comes the standard Bongo trick, clear nail polish on the end of the head stock(very thin and even, not gooped on) to strengthen it up just a bit.

I bought a pristine bass off of Ebay a few months ago and it was shipped inside a gig bag. When it got here, the headstock had damage on it. I e-mailed the seller and he discounted the price after seeing pics of the damage which he swore wasn't there when he shipped it out. The box it came in was not damaged at all. After a couple of days, I was looking at the damage again and noticed that it looked like a zipper pattern. It was then that I figured out that UPS had dropped the box with the bass head side down and it had been damaged by the zipper in the gig bag. I have always used a hard case and, after that incident, I have no plans to change.
