Hey guys, what do you think of this?

I am thinking of getting another 5 strings, I am looking for the bongo or the Warmoth gecko.

The GEcko is 35" scale, which provides more tensio and clarity on the B String,
Any thoughts, Bongo 5 Users?

Any one of you have trried a Gecko?

thanks

Wow, get the freak'n Bongo.

I'm guessing you've never played a Bongo because the B string on my Bongo(soon to be Bongos) is great. This has been adressed several times , even as of late, but that 35" scale crap is such hype. The B string may sound fine(on 35") but on the higher strings tone quality suffers. If you can find a place to play a Bongo you should.

In case you haven't noticed, this is the ERNIE BALL MUSIC MAN FORUM. Most if not all of us own and/or are fanatic to an obsessive point about the company's basses.
Do you expect anyone on here to pick the Warmouth? That being said, If you go with the Bongo you won't regret it.

Yeah, no one here will tell you to get a Warmoth. Just like noone on the Warmoth site (if there is one) will tell you to get a Bongo. The only way to know what you'll like best is to try both out. Chances are though you'll get the Bongo.

Like others have said, you're not going to get an unbiased opinion here (Bongo, by the way). You might want to post this question at talkbass.

I don't like the 35" scale eiher ... it's much to uncomfertable ... I say get a Ray 5 instead of the Bongo or warmoth... That's me final answer !!! :D

by the way
I have SR5-Graphite pearl, Maple FB, Black Ice PG

SR4-Saphite Black, Maple FB, Moonstone PG

I am having some preamp problems in the SR5, hope this is a isolated behavior, and when EB replaced the preamp (I am sending the bass tomorrow) it will no cause any problems (squealing like a pig :p )

If you're making a decision to buy a bass without playing it first, why not save some bux and order a Wish Bass? :p

Now that's funny. I don't care who you are!

for example, some players complaint about the string spacing on the SR5 for slaping, and I do, because I have one. The SR4 is ok for slap

The Bongo have more spacing?

thats the kind of feedback I am looking for.
thanks
