I briefly had a Fender relapse over the last month until I joined a band that plays songs that require lost of drop D and lower stuff.

Soooo.... back in the cases go the Fenders and out comes the Bongo 5.

I paired the Bongo with the following (my new rig):

Ampeg B2-RE Head
Ampeg SVT-210HE 2x10 Cab
Ampeg SVT-15E 1x15 Cab

Holy crap, does this sound good.:)

Eden, GK, SWR, Mesa, etc, etc, etc..... keep 'em!:p :D

I run this rig with a tiny bit of Chorus (maybe turned to 2) and nothing else. My POD actually makes it sound crappy (very muddy IMO) and it is now collecting dust. It is a great thing to be able to plug a bass basically directly into an amp and....voila.... good tone.

My guitarist was blown away at how clear the tone was and how well it cut through the mix and he plays through a insanely powerful Marshall stack.

I forgot how versatile the Bongo HH can be.

The only downside to the Bongo in my case is that I started using my Bass POD XT again. I originally set all my Bass POD settings and with my passive Fender Jazz. The POD and Ampeg sounded great with the Fender though.

Then I plugged in my Bongo..... what a mess initially.... those 2x9v batteries give you amazing extra power. I was clipping everywhere and had to reset every setting in my POD specifically for the Bongo!

Now that I have special "Bongo settings", life is good!
