oh sweet jebus, it finally arrived at Act 1 and I stopped by after Cole's soccer games yesterday morning......
I really have to say, the new basses are amazing in their own right and also excel at what I think they are at being "transitional" models. What I mean by that is much like the Sterling 5 I feel is the 5 that'll get any die-hard 4 string player who's maybe been on the fence about stepping up to a 5 the one for them. Likewise, the Bongo 6 is a great bass on it''s own and for "discerning" 6 string players but more so, the feel and balance of the bass makes it a strong, if not the strongest, candidate on the market for any 5 string player who's debated stepping up to a 6 but worried about a plank of that size. The thing is nuts!!!!
Definitely have a Bongo6 (or two) on the wish list.
AND... if anyone's interested, it's still at Act 1 in Langley and Tom's great to deal with!
