Bongo 6 string owners advice needed please

Hi to all. I am considering buying a Bongo 6 string fretless and wanted to ask any current or past Bongo 6 string owners about if the bass has neck dive problems. The one I am looking at has the newer light weight tuners and from what I have heard about them they help take off some of the weight off the headstock. The bass weighs 10lbs. I have always liked Bongo's but I can't stand neck dive. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I didn't notice head dive. I think the 6 string might omit stabilizing rods in the neck or maybe I misremember/mix it up with a different brand. I'll try to give it some strap time tonight, I didn't own my 6H for long.

I had a Bongo 6 HH with no neck dive. Although it might vary among individual basses (I don't think mine was 10 lb). The 6 string body is wider than the 5 string so that may help.

I have not had to deal with neck dive on any of my Bongo 6s (I've owned three).

From 6 to 4 string well i would deffinatly suggest you check oet the classic series. They are awesomme!

I wasn't crazy about the 6 string. But because it was a fretless I was giving it serious consideration. I have never been a 6 string fan which is why I didn't buy it right away but the price was right the bass was gorgeous. So I wanted to do some research on it. But then I came across a great deal on a used but in like new condition PDN Neptune 4H. For the hundreds of dollars less than what the 6 string cost I got a 4H that was just as nice. So I couldn't pass it up. Here it is.

Nice one! Congrats. Find it strange that people are allready selling the neptune blues. It is certainly like new, this series just got out....

Well of course the Stingray sound radically different even ignoring the # of strings. We have neodymium pickups in the bongo, a basswood body and a 24 fret access crippled body.
