I was just wondering if I have to buy the EBMM replacement pickguard (not 3rd party) from a MusicMan dealer, or can I get them direct from MusicMan?

Bad grounding maybe? I don't mean to bash the HS but the hum was very disproportionate to the output in a distracting way. It stopped humming when I shifted the blend all the way to the bridge H.

To my ears, the 2 hums complimented each other quite nicely. I got some amazing ground-shaking tones from that neck H and some bass boost. I've owned Fenders, Peaveys, and a Rickenbacker. This will be my first EBMM bass, and my first 6 string. Anything I need to know about either?

My Bongo is on the way back home from Customer Service. It has the same problem. The single coil hums but the bass is dead silent when I turn the blend knob towards the bridge pickup.

It's probably an issue with the silent circuit, but it could also be a problem on the preamp board that is preventing the silent circuit from functioning (as mentioned by the customer service rep when she got a reply from one of the repair techs).

They ordered mine Monday, so when does it start to being built? Does it go through a waiting list or does it take all of the 3-4 months to build? Just curious. Also, when I get mine will there be a certificate saying what the date built is?

You get put on a wait list, and won't get a certificate like that but there's a serials thread here where you can check it quite easily.
