Have a new original progressive music project starting next month, and the guitar player wants me to play my Bongo 6 HH. (yea!) Now, I want to get a mate for it,and I'm leaning towards the single H. I only know what I've read about them, and I know there are a few here that have a few of them. Will I get my favorite MM tone from the Bongo H? Hope so! :D

The HH and H are different animals. I love my HH, and its very, very wide palette of tones; but the H is truly magical in a way that only a single-H MusicMan bass can be. The tone always sits very well in the mix, yet never gets lost. You can change hand position alone, and get many distinct personalities with the single-H. Some EQ gets you tons of color for different rooms, bands, etc. Very highly recommended.

This ^^^

I propose that with a Bongo H you will have yet another, new, special Favorite MM tone that you won't be able to get enough of.

Yes...what has been said.

The SINGLE H Bongo 6, which I own, is the Yin, the Yang, and a bag of chips. Does it do EVERYTHING. No. Does it do exactly what you NEED. YES. I can't explain it. It would be like trying to explain a Kiss from Cindy Crawford, if I were to be so lucky (my wife knows about this fantasy). With all the fancy discussion about the tone...you need to play it. When you do...all is revealed to you, and you don't remember what it was like before you heard it.

True.

I have been eyeballing the stealth Bongo 6H basscentral has for a few months. You should jump pn that one. JOSH

They show 2 6H's on their website.
If you're interested in buying new you might give them a call and see what they have available in 6H.
