Ah, go ahead I wanna hear about the Schaller Straplocks on your Bongo. Besides where it started where it went and where it is likely to go defies all definition.

Well, to be fair, there were only three words in his post. Observe:

"a duck

a duck floats"

It appears at first to be two phrases, one even approaches sentence-hood, but fine, okay, we give him a go on the spelling.

Punctuation, however...........

i have schallers on my bass. the screws that came with them are way to small. and i dont remeber what the problem was with the set of screws that came with the bass, but those didnt work either. so what i did was used a wood screw. now that sounds simple, but its not. i decreased the diameter of the head of the screw( ground it off with a grinder), so that it would fit in the recess of the button. then enlarged the whole in the button so it would accomdate the screw(using a drill with a bit approxiamtely the size of the screw), so that it would actually go in. now some of you may be opposed to this, and i suppose the process is somewhat irreversable, but the screws i used were not only thicker than the originals on the bass, but longer as well. so i put a bigger screw in a smaller hole. it effectively worked and i have not had any problems what so ever. they are stuck in there. the only downside is if i wanted to use a different button i would only be able to use bigger screws and not go back to the originals. oh well, i like my straplocks, but for some that might not be such a good idea.

Rock solid. Finished. Now back to Jubs' grammar and spelling development. It's far more interesting. By the way I reckon Ronnie Wood floats. Considering what he's consumed over the years he must float through every Stones gig.

So what have we learned here...

If a Bongo weighs the same as a duck, its made of wood... and therefore a witch!

Jub still needs help w/ grammar, but he's getting better...

and finally, bigger screws make bigger holes...

have I left anything out??? :D
