I think I posted this before a while back, but this was entirely Jeremy's idea. He adores that bass (and Biff).

We laid the bass out and traced the outline then filled it in together.

It's hanging on his wall now.

Great stuff, Jack. Love the psychedelic fretboard. Check out the detail on that bridge! I like the way your boy is holding it so proudly and carefully. :)

My 16-year-old can't draw but he was the one who first pointed out the Bongo when he saw it on the Bass Central website. He thought it was totally cool.

jeremy is going to do just fine

He's so much smarter than I was at his age. It's sobering.

BTW, we went into some fancy-shmancy food shoppe Saturday to find some black olive spread for the wife. I was wearing my EB "62" baseball jersey. Jeremy was charming the socks off the female staff members.

Eventually, the guy behind the counter said, "Ah, Ernie Ball! Great strings!" Jeremy tells the guy, "They build great guitars and basses, too." Real casual, off-hand, like everyone should know THAT.

We eventually had a little conversation about the instruments, but for the first few seconds, that guy was just dumbstruck.

That's Saturday morning - yes, he's doing the rooster strut while staring down the competition's sideline fans.
