Oh, man. Looking good! That's such a stunning finish in natural light.

Beautiful bass!

If I ever order a new Bongo, I'll try to get the autograph option too :D

That boat has sailed, my friend. It was such a monumentous occassion that Dude took up selling Bongos that it was a one time offer for the first 5 Bongos that Steve sold.

Of course, I don't think anything was written in blood, so who knows when the mood will hit BP again.

Couldn't have bought a bass from the Dude anyway, as he isn't allowed to sell outside the US.

What I might try is this: I'll order a bass specifying autographs, and keep my fingers crossed that the Swedish importer carries enought weight with Sterling to make it happen. Or I can just beg Sterling and Dudley, I guess :D

I know for sure that bass it would be: A golden Bongo 5 HHP.

I'm sure that if you asked Big Poppa very nicely, and promised to send him photos of scantily-clad women posing seductively with your Bongo, that you just might compel him to sign your bass. ;)

The same applies if you'd like me to sign it. :D
(except that your resale value would immediately sink)

I'll probably try that when I get the Envy green. A brunette with the Desert Gold and a blonde with the Envy green :D

I just had an idea..

When the instrument builder is revisited, they could photoshop some hot females into the pics.. so they could hold/display them like those gals on 'the price is right'.

Hey, at least the guys could get a cheap thrill for a little while before the lawsuits started... :p

So how do I nicely ask you to pay a visit to my loaded y2d quilt-top sitting in setup? :D

j/k

Hopefully that special Bongo occasion doesn't create a "gimmie gimmie" situation - otherwise we would all want signed Bongos. I would like a green one with red flames, if anyone knows where to get one

I'll take that as a "maybe" :D

I think hot scantily clad Swedish chicks holding Bongos could go a long way towards making Big Poppa whip out the ol' paint pen.

Um....that sounded dirtier than I intended.
