Do Bongos (specifically the 6 string) hog more batteries than other EBMM basses? I've had factory batteries since April and I am today replacing the batteries because the old ones have completely died (checked it on a voltometer). I usually play 4-6 hours a day, and unplug when its not in use. So lets just say at most 500 hours of playing time. Is this normal? Sorry for the noob question. I'm just wondering if the larger pickups of the 6 string eat batteries quicker.

the pickups are not active.

the preamp is.

so size of the pickup doesn't matter, it's how you use the bass.

unplugging it is the first and easiest step in preserving battery life so you are a step ahead.
