Bongo Came Today !!!!!!!!!!!

I tell you all one thing, this Bongo 4HH is probably the most comfortable bass I've ever played. The neck kind of reminds me of the old Steinberger headless bass. I know that sounds weird because it has a headstock, but it does. Maybe it's the neck dimensions. I'm jamming tomorrow with my jazz/rock band. So, I'm stoked.
Question: how is the Bongo 5 string balanced? I played one in a store a few years ago with a strap and it seem kind of neck heavy. Is that the case or was that a fluke? I know basswood is a light wood. But, I am getting a Hipshot D-Tuner for my Bongo. I think the BT-1 is the right on for MusicMan?

All my Bongo 5s are very well balanced. Never noticed any tendency to neck-dive at all, even on my sub-9 lb 5H (which should in theory have more mass at the headstock relative to the body than my HHp).

It should be noted that I use a 4.5" wide Levy's leather strap that isn't particularly slippery, so maybe traction has something to do with it. But even when sitting, the bass stays where it should.

Just had a 6 hour jam with the guys. What a comfortable bass. I mainly had it on the bridge pickup for that Jaco-ish style. Just a dash of Low Mid and a slight more dash of High Mid. For slapping, I was using both pickups. My rig that I play through the most is an Aguilar DB750 head and an Eden 410XLT and Eden 210XLT cabs. And I'm talking loud. Thanks for all your feed back. I even wrote Dave LaRue on how he sets his eq and a couple of other things and he got back to me the next day. I've seen The Dregs/SMB too many times to count, but I remember in '03, Dave came out with this different looking bass, the Bongo. Again, a very comfortable bass.
