With my Bongo being silver...and it already having a unique appearance, I came up with a "space theme" for it.

My wife was nice enough to draw it up, and color it for me. After it was done, I went to FedEx Office and had the original copied. The pickguard is a Chandler pickguard...perfect fit.

The Russian nesting dolls idea came to me because when I was younger I would always play with the ones that my godmother had. I happened to mention this in conversation with my mother-in-law a few months ago, and she surprisingly bought me a very nice one for Christmas, that she purchased from a Russian community in the UK.

....and no...I don't have a lick of Russian in me.

I vote for the custom one. I love stuff that adds your personal touch like that to the instrument!

I love stuff like that. Nice work!

Thanks Jack...I figured you'd like it...especially with having the "fat lady" on your one Bongo...and that custome painted "other brand" bass.

Hey, Hey....the perfectbass has it for a good price. And Thanks

Rog,

Your wife is an artist ! That looks awesome. I love the mix of the astronauts with the nesting dolls. Kinda' makes a guy think about the Freudian implications ...... or not! Whatever I think it is a great upgrade for sure..

Thanks Steve. A bunch of wooden astronauts in a variety of sizes?

She had a good time doing it, and kinda makes me laugh when I look at it. I figured it's my least traditional bass...why not have a crazy pg.
