Tee many martoonis my friend?

Nope, I was completely sober and finishing up a set when I was distracted by a wanker who wanted to ask me about my Bongo. I should have told him to go screw himself, but I'm weak like that.

Does anyone know an answer to the first post?

I too would like to replace the knobs on my Bongo. I'm looking for chrome ones which match the stock black ones in shape.

If you know of an online dealer that carries such an animal I'd appreciate a link. I can find the normal domes easy enough, it's the concentric ones which seem to be hard to find.

Kev

I found concentric ones at stewmac.com but you have to buy the pots with them and they don't match the shape very well.

Some of these people must be too bored to post useful topics.....

The knobs are metal, and they are black. I figured that out when I first touched them.

I'm sure eventually someone will manufacture an aftermarket knob for the Bongo.

Until then, ignore these guys. They switch pickguards more than they change their underwear - which isn't very often.

Thanks for answering the post, unlike the others in this thread.

What I can't figure out is why some in this thread want to have the orginal poster justify why he wants to change the knobs. I PERSONALLY dont' care what they are made of. I want ones that match the rest of the hardware on the instrument. I think chrome would look better.

So again, if anyone knows of a source for chrome knobs please post a link.

I remember posting something like this a while back, it got deleted & I got flamed.

Some people have preferences as to how they want their bass to look and I guess that's just the way it is.

I've learned that even though I don't care for too much for it, some do & that's that.

So, anyways, you got a useful topic you wanna share? I'm all eyes....

I'm not one to change much - but what's the difference between chaning the knobs vs. changing a pickguard (which happens a lot around here)?

Thanks Kev. I didn't found any dealer selling custom Bongo knobs, but I'm also sure that it's going to come, so I can change the stock ones that I still find sad (whatever other think about ) ; chrome ones would be nice.

Hoppefully, I'm not worried enough by the look of those knobs to try Xanax, Halcion, Viagra, Hero or all those mixed in.
