Bongo Day!!!
Hi there all
Well the long wait is almost over. I will be picking up my new Sapphire black 4HH Bongo tomorrow (Saturday)!!!
Dig this and tell me you would not have pulled out your brian through the front of your skull!!!!
I went to check on the status of my Bongo order last week. I was told that the guy who I have been dealing with was no longer with the store! What!!! I have been dealing with my man for the last 3 years! So, I am now dealing with 2 new guys who I have never even met. OK, I tell myself, you survived the damn hurricanes, you can deal with this! Breath, breath, focus....ok...ok.
I went to the store last Friday to meet the new dudes. Only one was there, nice enough guy but he worked in the guitar section and was helping "fill in" for the other guy who handles bass who called in sick...yikes!
Anyway, the Bongo was not in yet and after some running around and a phone call to EBMM. I was told it should be in by Monday or Tuesday. Ok, I waited this long, I can wait a few more days...grrrrrrrrr!...ok,ok.
I got the call on Monday that the Bongo was in...YIPPPPEEEE!!!! ha ha ha hee hee!!!
So, I leave work 2 hours early to go pick it up. While driving down, I call the bank to have the $1000 transfered from my savings to checking to pay off the Bongo and pick up some other stuff (a strap, strap locks, yada, yada...). Ok, I ask what is my new balance? The lady from the bank's cust service says $767.00.
WHAT!!!!
Come to find out that the Credit card people took out a payment from my checking that I asked not to be taken out since I did not have to make a payment yet!!! I am always a month ahead. They took out the $500, which caused me to be overdrawn at that point by $233 with 5 overdraft charges totaling $150!!!! Smoke was pouring out of my ears!
I had to call the guy at the store and tell him I would pick it up on Saturday. So, now I have been waiting all week to get my paycheck so that I can pick up my poor little Bongo who is wondering what happen to his daddy, Poor little bugger<sniff><sniff>....
But, I am a lucky man to have the wife I do. She really wants me to get this and I'm a grateful. So, barring the end of the world tomorrow, I will have my sweet little Bongo in my hands!!!!!!
After this the fretless saga will begin!!!!
