Hmmm airbags...somehow this idea reminds me of one of those padded toilet seats.

Sheesh. Am I posting in English? Why do people constantly misunderstand what I'm saying?
They need something new to talk about in their bored to tears life. So don't take it to hard, matter of fact; don't take it at all[what i mean is quit reading the post] :D

I had been avoiding this thread like the plague... but now that things are more jovial.. :)

I actually am impressed with the idea of a pot bending versus breaking when the instrument takes a fall. I'm even more impressed that it's mounted in such a way that you can bend it back into place (possibly more than once!) without anything snapping.

But if additional safety features are sought, maybe a mercury tilt switch that can be activated when you're putting the instrument down. When the bass then falls, the mercury tilt switch activates, which could then deploy the airbags/toilet seat cushion or maybe just spray a big pile of shaving cream to break the fall.

Then again, how about if Dudley just designs a nice codpiece for the Bongo? That way it can't fall completely over..

:D

I think the air bag idea is especially great for those who take the stage after a few too many trips to the bar! :D

Mingus, mingus, mingus...

It's from Janet Jackson's song "Nasty" -- I loved the video. Does anyone remember the pyramid dogpile that they did? Didn't they then collapse it?? What a move!!! The 80's were rad.

:D :D :D

I'm not a big Janet fan, although my band does a pretty sweet version of Black Cat. Can you excuse me for my ignorance being that I was born in 1980?

You're excused! I actually saw your birthyear on your profile. No worries!

But you did miss out on some killer dance moves -- especially wearing the kinds of clothes that people did back then. AAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I was going to comment on the two resident BP's, but I figured why bother...

Well, because we're bored and have nothing better to do with our lives, of course.

The mere fact that this thread even exists bears proof that we're not the only ones. ;)

And...the other bp did take the time to chime in.

What's that old scripture..."Don't judge others, or you might get judged yourself." :D
