I just got a Bongo 4HH and love it, but I've been trying to find out some information on the four band eq. Does anyone know the frequencies and db slopes of the four eq's? The FAQ's on the Ernie Ball site have this information for the 3 band eq, but I couldn't find it for the 4 band.

The FAQ's also provide information about the distance between the pickup polepieces and the strings, but the information varies between 4/32, 5/32, and 6/32. Any ideas about what the "right" setting is?

Any help or information would be appreciated...

Thanks!!!

I think it really comes down to personal preference. Have some fun...experiment with different pickup heights.

The Bongo has more than enough juice to make up the difference! :D

Try this:

E string depressed at last fret...measure 4/32" from bottom of string to top of the pole pieces for both pickups.

G string depressed at last fret...measure 3/32" from bottom of string to top of pole pieces for both pickups. Maybe a little more (or less) so that string volume is even all the way across on both pickups.

The neck pickup will sit a little lower than the bridge pickup.
