Surface....surface.....surface......

DTG, I knew the Mind Control Rays would claim you sooner or later. The Collective is more complete now.

I too like my HH blend at 50/50, which seems to be the trend.

FWIW (zip...which is exactly what you're paying for it), I run bass and treble flat, and boost low and hi mids to taste, never to extremes. I always have a bit of piezo in there. If I want a really retro 60s sound I'll roll off the treble some. Strings are factory stock.

Anthony, I'm REALLY interested to hear your take on HHp vs. HSp. Keep us posted. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to hear it first-hand at some point.

That is all.

Dive....dive....

Add me to the list of Bongoloids.

I've had my Bongo 5HH for several months now, and I've had a constant love/ hate relationship with it. I tried trading or selling it a couple times already. Mainly, my problem was I was tuning too low (G#, C#, F#, B, E low to high) for my old band. Once I went back to standard, HOLY CR@P, it woke up and slapped me in the face, as to say "Don't ever try to sell me again!!". I've been digging the versatility alot. I usually go 50/50 like others, bu,t dangit, solo the neck pickup, andjust the EQ, and viola! P-bass city. I haven't played my beloved SR5 in quite sometime thanks to 'the Brat' (which I affectionately call her... I read that Stephen stills has an old P-bass called Grandma, and since the Bongo is the antithesis of that bass, I though of a youg brat, hence the moniker). ANyway, thatks BP and everyone involved for making such great instruments. Their so good, they take time to fall in love with...lol.

Damn Bongoloids ;)

And here I was thinking a Sterling would be my next purchase. I believe it was the "point and shoot v. SLR" comment that has me re-thinking my next bass.

Damn you Bongoloids........tbone

ps - adouglas even surfaced for this one.....nice hearing from him
