HOOOORAH!!!
The Bongo has finally arrived at my place after a perilous journey from the US to the otherside of the Globe in Australia.

May i say that this is the most beautiful bass that i have seem. The graphite Pearl with the Black Ice Pick Guard is striking. I don't understand why the masses have criticised this bass for being Ugly. Even some non bass player friends of mine have commented on how awesome it looks.

The Dual Humbuckers produce an incrediblyh powerful sound that is somewhat like an SR4, Somewhat like an SR5, but at the same time its own distinctive sound. The neck is incredibly fast, and again everyone who's tried it has said it is the fastest neck they have every played.

The versitility that is possible with this combination (Bend of dual humbuckers, low and Hi mids, and Piezo blend) seem endless.

Overall I am extremely Happy with this bass, quite obviously. Thanks to the people who have promoted it onthis board, becasue i bought it purely on everyones reconition, due to the fact that i haven't seen a Bongo in Australia yet.

Here are some pictures of the Bongo.
Funny thing, i have been recording in Byron Bay for the past couple of days, about a 2hr drive from my house, and the Bongo arrived the day after i left to record. So that was a bit annoying. But the stingray still sounded awesome in the recording. Anyways here are the pics:

I recognize that case (only mine is for a fiver).

Beautiful color combination, sir. Really classic.

As a bona fide Bongo Enthusiast, I'm (a) glad you got one and (b) relieved that you find it as awesome as do I. Otherwise, well, my reputation would be in danger.

Heh heh, like I have a reputation.

Anyway, congrats! Any other reports of Bongos in Oz yet? Do you possibly have the first?

I have a Sapphire Black 4HH on order and I was leaning towards a Graphite Pearl 4HHP fretless. I just had not been able to find a good photo of this color until now. Thanks :)

Well i haven't heard of anyone else in Australia having a Bongo yet, but i could be wrong, it is a big country. none of the big retailers have it yet i do know that.

And Antman yeah i would really reccomend this colour. it looks alot better in person than it does in photos as well.

I accept your apology jack (if that is one) haha

But like rhys I too bought the bass on peoples recommendation from this forum so thanks guys for all you comments and insight into the bass.

I still get strange looks when I play the bongo because there are not many floating around down here (or maybe I just look funny!!!!)
