hi guys,

now that the stealth arrived i finally found a color that fits my needs :)
yesterday i´ve tested a bongo with H/H configuration. it was awsome!
but the thing now is, that i dont know if the S/H is "better" because someone said the HH is to mumbly or "undefinied" compared to the H/H.

guys please help which configuration i should pick!

I've got both and prefer the sound of the HH as well. It's got more oomph and grunge. The SC is cleaner and more refined. Also, I noticed the SC has more hum but it took an A-B comparison with the HH to notice. Although this may change for the "even better" with the rumours going 'round about a new SC pickup possibly going into production.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Just depends on what you are looking for.

BTW, I'm selling my SC/H if you know anybody that is interested.

Hey Andrew, you still up for considering a trade?

I'm in the same camp as Andrew, HH on fretted and SC/H on fretless.... I think I prefer the HH for fretted and as for Stealth............... ahhhgggggggggg(a la Homer J.) I'm lovin' the idea of that colour more and more.... or maybe just another Buttercream fretted to match the fretless...........

Another entry in the fretted HHp and fretless SCHp club. :D

If I could only have one, I'd take the HH. But, I really enjoyed the SCH fretted I had for a while, too.

I have a fretless Bongo on the way - HSp for a wider tonal variety.

I have an additional EBMM fretted bass in my future - it will be HH.

Hmmm... Seems to be a common theory of approach here. ;)
