Hi people, I just need some really quick help concerning an issue with my Bongo. I plugged in to play today and the only sound I could get from it was a really distorted buzzing sound (no, I did not have my pedal in), as in it lacked any form of clean tone whatsoever. It cannot be the amp, as I tried it on several amps and patch cords and got the save result. I replaced the batteries recently (a few days ago), what could be the problem?

Thank you very much for helping!

The only advice I can give is to call EBs fantastic helpful customer service department. They will be the best ones to assist you and can probably isolate the issue quickly and easily.

Thanks to the FAQ on the MM site, im pretty sure im all clear now. Im kinda stupid in that ive been leaving it plugged in so to not screw with the inputs. Little did I know it drains the batteries even when not being played, im kinda new to active p-ups. The site says when it becomes distorted, replace the batteries, so that is exactly what I will do. Thank you for the help, I must say im thoroughly impressed with the FAQ.

Make sure you get the polarity right. If you look REALLY closely at the battery compartments, they're marked. Me, I just make sure to match the way the old ones were inserted.

And you do know about the tongue test, right?

Yup, I do, in fact im about to go try that right now for the first time. I just noticed the compartment labels as well, I was hoping for something like that and to no surprise EBMM came through on that too.

EDIT: Never tried before so I cant really compare but I didnt get all that much of a jolt from them, which makes sense considering they should have a little bit of juice as I can still actually get the p-ups to work a little bit. I believe im all good, ill be getting new batteries shortly. This time, i'll remember not to leave it plugged in. TYVM
