i see that the newest rays(buttercreme and some other new production ray) has the compensated nut that the bongo has. is this standard now?

also is the compensated nut based off buzz felten/earvana or did EB make there own and how good is it compared to the other systems.

I believe the EBMM compensanted nut is a proprietary design, from what I've heard from my often-missing pal Hans, who worked on the nut back when he was an EBMM employee.

Let's see, how does one describe this? The nut is cut shorter with each higher open note, thus adding more string length to give more accurate intonation. Does that describe it correctly, brothers? Kinda hard to put into words.
