Bongo No Pickguard Option

I say "holy smokes, Imandan, you caught me off guard, and I though you were going to request a BONGO BFR or at least a quilt top for all us woodgrain lovers

A Bongo with a fancy top would mean a very thick top, I guess, because of all the bevelling on the bongo.
Now a mahogany Bongo otoh, now that'd be sweeeeeeet!

Well if they manage to fit a 1/8" drop top onto a bongo, that'd be a miracle indeed

Most lam tops I've seen are about 1/16 inch but I was really thinking more of a thicker top on bass wood. A solid maple/mahagony/ash/etc. body would be fine too.

A quilt top bongo would be cool....but, not sure how hard that would be with all the beveling and what not. The mahog is just pure sexy!

I was standing with him when he saw it. When Dargin freaks a little, that's a bad thing. It was, however, pretty funny.
