I don't think you will ever say.... "you know what, I really wish I didn't have that Piezo on this thing." You can always dial it off, but if its not there you sure as heck can't dial it on.

Enjoy!.... and someone, anyone... I'm not veteran enough to issue the standard welcome message... :)

I havent seen many Orange Firemist + Orange Swirl Bongo pics floating around.

First off I applaud you choice at 16........IT took the geezers five years to warm up to it.

A coupla things. I am biased. Totally> Especially for the Bongo. I hung my arse out on this bass and really basically continue to get slammed by the narrow minded folks out there and the people terrified of change. Icould have played it safe ans didnt ...still wouldnt. You need to have thick skin to play a bongo because some of the talk bass toilet seat stuff just gets tired.

The bongo hasn't aged a day. Wow. It still is as cutting edge and sonically diverse. I am very proud of many of the creations at ebmm but none more than the Bongo. Every day the cult grows and it makes it all worth while.

Sterling Ball on my first post, im honoured :D. I have no idea what people talk about when they bash the bongo. Ive always loved the look and after playing it myself my love for it only grew. Im going with it and im sure ill love it to death, and I love the unique nature and awesome tone of the bongo, how people wouldnt accept it is beyond me.

Big Poppa, you did a great job

The Bongo bashing always amazes me. Outside the "Gotta Look Like a Fender" cult it does not bug anyone. I am glad that EBMM is moving to their own drummer.

I'm a big fan of the piezos on my Bongos with the EB flats. Rounds--not so much. But, that's just one man's opinion.

Make sure to hug your parents extra hard if you get a Bongo. And, you know, get straight 'A's, or something, too. :D

And, while I'm closer to geezer than I am 16, I have been down with the Bongo since day 1. Waiting patiently on the 5 string Big AL, too.

Umm, geezer? - I resemble that remark! ;)

Welcome young bongoloid, wish I could go back to sixteen and do it all over again (1976)-that was some good times, but no bongos

Thanks for all the encouragement guys. Ill do my best to deserve the thing, it takes a lot. Im playing a show tonight and if it goes well it should help the bongo-obtaining quite a bit. Dont worry, you are nowhere near as old as you think you are I guarantee. You play bongos, does that scream old?

Hello again folks, just calling to say I just pulled the trigger. Bongo 5 HHp Orange Firemist Orange Swirl Bombastic.

Came down to a good price + $100 discount (Woo :D)

Just one thing, I stated piezo pickups as it was sort of informal when I was laying down specifics. That means the piezo bridge is included, correct?

Also, thanks so much for helping me make an informed decision quickly, and now come four months in which I can be worthy of it.
