Anyone know why the Bongo5 or 4 was never given the same sort of pickup selector switch that the Ray has.???:)
Juzt curious why the Bongo was not given this selector switch (which seems much more versitile) as it has the same pickup config's as the SR.
Would this be something to be given to later Bongos?
Has someone else asked this already? If so where?
And lastly -Would this be a good retrofit??

Cheers:D

The Bongo pickup pan knob gives, literally, infinite degrees of pickup blend. It's the more advanced control layout. Having said that, I only use about three different settings on my Bongo.

I play some pretty ridiculous songs in a relatively silly band (for seriously stupid money)....but I can't tell you how many times I've stopped and said to myself, "Sheeyit, 'Tiger By The Tail' sure would sound better if I had coil switching on this Bongo."

Well, okay, but don't ever try to kiss me again.

And another thing!

Any of you boys have stomp-boxes for your basses, I'm calling you a girl!

Unless you're a girl, and then I'll call you a......girly girl.

Yeah. So there.

Not even during the bass solo? ;)

Yeah. So there.

If I can't use effects, how else am I supposed to hide my inadequacies as a musician? :D
