Help! Bongo piezo giving feedback

Haven't posted in a couple years. I was just running my rig through some tests before a gig and I ran into a huge problem.

I'm running a bongo 5 hsp through an old ernieball audiophile 500 head and the matching 10 and 12 cabs. I am certain it is not the amp. As soon as I turn the piezo nob from all the way clockwise I start getting feedback. The more counterclockwise, the worse it gets to the point where its just blasting feedback noise. Any ideas what the problem is or how I can fix it? Are wires crossed/broken?

Check the bridge and see if the ground wire is broke?

Do that by checking continuity between bridge and
some other known ground, such as the output jack.
Actually lifting the bridge could easily damage the
tiny short wires that run from the saddles.

I've got 1/2 dozen piezo MMs and I have NEVER
experienced acoustic feedback, so IMHO wiring is
a suspect here.

Thanks guys. Honestly must be wiring. As soon as my band got playing the problem magically disappeared. Likely only temporary. I'll check it out. It's a pretty roadworn bass. I am just using my other HS 6 without a piezo right now. Gotta love having more than one beast in the nest.

"Likely only temporary." I knew a guy who thought
wiring could re-solder itself thru prayer. But, he also
predicted the world would end on June 6th 1966 ;-)

Thaz waaay scary. You GOTTA fix it right. G'luck !
