Used my Bongo 5HHp for a church service today
I asked the soundman and he said he likes this bass the best - I've worked with him for a couple of years and he does sound for other bassists.
A guitarist gear head came up and asked, "is that a Musicman like John Myung uses"? I cracked up and told him he's as obsessed as me. He said the bass really good.
I eq'd the bass flat with a hint of piezo and 75% volume - to make BP proud
It is the best bass guitar sound I've had. Honestly though, its gonna take me a while to figure out how to tweak the eq/pickup controls to get the most out of this instrument.
Oh and the neck heaviness I mentioned in the past? - the bass likes to hang more horizontally than others I've had but it is NOT heavy from the standpoint of the neck diving to the floor.
Felt very comfortable and looked cool.
