THe d and g string dont do it and sound great. Also, does anyone know were I can go to find out more about the 4 band eq and what all the knobs do specifcally, its really werid how I got this and I dont know what any of them do and why my top 2 strings E, A buzz so bad.. Again if you could please help out thanks a bunch. Josh

From what I've read here and in other forums, Bongos don't come set up particulary well from the factory (or maybe it's the stores who dick with the setup, who knows), so I'm sure it's just a simple matter of adjusting the action (via the bridge and/or truss rod) to get rid of that buzzing.

i kno the magazine bass player, the one with pino palidino or what ever on it, had a artical about the bonga that went into depth. u might chek ur local b&n to see if they still have a copy. that would at least tell u what the nobs do

HI...I just want to put my 2 cents worth in here...The same good folks who set up the Stingrays, Sterlings, every guitar and bass that goes out the door, set the Bongos up as well. There is no difference in the way they are set up. If any of you need some help in tweeking your bass to get it set up right( as weather, tension etc. change set up's) please give me a call...I can walk you through the process, and would be more than happy to help.

Starting with the knob closest to the bridge:

- volume

- pickup blend

- stacked mids (high/low)

- stacked treble/bass

And definitely call Jon if you aren't familiar with how to adjust your neck/action.

hmmmm...... action out of whack, not sure what the controls do, really weird how I came by the bass...... sounds like it could have "fallen off a truck" ?? ;)

not that Tony Soprano had anything to do with it but....
... I kid I kid! hehehehe

Congrats on your Bongo! A new tool is always a good thing.
