Anyone have a pic of a Bongo without the p/g?
A talkbass threader commented they look interesting undressed. . . .

personally, I like the pickgaurds... adds a lot of character.... then again you cant usually get it in flames :)

Once I get my hands on a sparkle finish Sterling, I will consider a clear acrylic pg or no pg at all. Those who use fingers don't neeeeeeed a pg.

Some of these nice finishes deserve to shine. I like the Bongos better without the pg. It goes with the futuristic design. The 'Ray however looks so cool with the oval pg.

You might be displaying Sterling guts, 'cause I'm not sure if that model has the control cavity routing on the back like the Bongo.

funny .. I love the pickguard on the SR5, would prefer the SR4 with 2 pups and no guard and prefer bongo undressed. Absolutely no accounting for taste . . .
