Dudes, I was flipping by Much Music (Canada's MTV) last night and they had Hillary Duff live @ the studio ..... the only reason I watched was to see the gear her band was playing and sure enough her bassist was playing a gorgeous black dual humbucker Bongo 5!!!

the invasion has begun!:p

That's Gail Ann Dorsey with Bowie. She's good, ain't she?

She also has a mighty fine Stingray called Marilyn...which has inspired me to order a clear pickguard.

Yes we have been getting the Bongos in the Hands of some good folks.

Hillary Duff's Bass Player's name is Kayle Truman

He has a Lava Pearl and Black Bongo.

Look out For :

Ira Dean (bassist w/Trick Pony)
Benj Gershman(bassist w/O.A.R)
Johnny Sprague(Earshot)
Aaron Julison(Kid Rock)

and Pino Palladino!(The WHO) is reportedly playing his bongo and will not touch anything else. ( He must of called Jack and asked which bass would be good for the Who's upcoming tour.)

Well, I didn't want to drop names.

PS to Derek: Bongo number three is being ordered this week. Jon's going to put a gear shift and some rat fink stickers on it for me, he says.

That's awesome, and yes, I jest. I would be telling my friends 5 times over if I got a hook-up to a gig like that! How was the band sounding? Still got some fire in the belly?

Brad,

I heard Pino doesn't change basses the whole night. Can you confirm?

Thanks

Derek

Yes Yes and Yes, they rocked all nite long! The fire was well and truly there!

Yes Derek, Pino was using the Bongo all nite and from what i could see did not change at all. He is a great bassist, they were all faultless in fact.definately the best gig iv been to. The reason i was on the guest list was due to Simon Tonshend being a member at the same golf club as me and kindly invited me and two of my mates along. Top Man!

Hey Brad, I hear they also had a special delivery Bongo bass over at the Buck House. Apparently a bloke named Chazzer said his mum would pay for it if they left it at the door... :p
