Bongo weak signal

Hi

I own a Bongo 4HH and i realize that there is a problem. When connecting to PA (thgough DI or not), it delivers a relatively weak signal. Weaker than my Fender P MIM even with the volume knob turned up.

Through the amp i hear it loud enough but when playing live, the soundman always complaining for weak signal.

I have tried new batteries. So what might be the problem?
A wire loose maybe? And how can i check it?

well... the point is... the bass is definitely loud. i do not hear it quiet. but the signal that sends to the pa is weak. i cannot explain it.

Have you checked your equipment after the signal leaves the bass?
Could be cables, direct box, or anything else between the bass and the pa.

This doesn't work for me. If the bass is loud, if it does not seem quiet to you, if it sounds good/loud through any given amplifier, then the bass is not the problem. I'd (a) have a serious talk with the sound guy and if that doesn't work, then sure, (b) call customer service, but this doesn't seem like an instrument-generated phenomenon to yours truly.

Of course, this IS internet diagnosis and we know how good that is.

How do you even know that the signal is weak, if the sound is loud? That does not make sense to me. Are you using some kind of measuring device? Is there an impedance mismatch? Do you hear noise?

You will have to explain the problem more clearly and in more detail if we forum users are going to be able to help you. Because right now it seems you're just living up to your screen name. ;)

Could also be the PA. Does the sound guy have the gain on your channel set appropriately? Is it clipping? Is the channel you're plugged into working right?

The wisest man I ever met taught me to NEVER overlook the obvious.

And yeah, hit up CS…. then engage in Troubleshooting 101 if that doesn't give you what you need.

Start by eliminating stuff. Plug the bass straight into the PA with nothing in between. If that doesn't work, swap cables and try again. If that doesn't work, swap channels. And so on… eliminate possible sources to isolate the culprit.

Others have said it… if you're getting good signal to your amp, then logic dictates that it's not the bass, is it?

can't be the bass or it would be weak going to your amp
 
Plug cable from Bongo into your amp. Break windows in room. Not a bongo problem. Nor your amps problem.

Seems like the soundman isn´t quite up to the job ?....IMHO this is not a EBMM related issue Its more of a PA related problem, Ive had many problems like these in the past with front of house "Engineers".....:mad:
