Can someone who has a Bongo take a look at the circuit boards and let me know what a few of the wires connect to?

I have the pickups wired, the batteries wired, but don't know exactly where to solder 4 last wires...

On the board with the bass knob, there are 3 wires coming off the right side of the board labeled "S" "R" "T".
The "S" has a black wire coming from it
The "R" has a green wire coming from it
The "T" has a white wire coming from it.

Finally, there is one last black wire that looks like a ground, as it has a small piece to screw onto the ground, but there is also a black wire running off of that as well.

I need to wire up the input jack, but would appreciate it if someone would let me know exactly how these 4 wires connect, I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks

The S, R, and T wires would go to your input jack. The black wire with the metal thing is the ground, but I'm not sure where the additional black wire goes. In my Bongo, it goes inside the body, out of sight. Maybe to another ground in the bridge? Below is a pic for the SRT wires:

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much, it helped quite a bit.

I just wired it up to see how it sounds in my Sadowsky and it's not bad. Since the preamp & knobs aren't mounted in the bass, it's tough to really play around with it too much - having the guts on my leg while I'm playing, but it definitely works.
It's just a matter of getting the courage up to drill new holes in order to mount it and see if I really like it or not. Once the holes are there, they're there for good...

Scott's good people.

So, I guess you are at the moment of truth, eh? Whatcha gonna do?

Why do you have to drill? Do you need more than 4 holes, or do they not line up like you need them to?

SRT = Sleeve, Ring, Tip for the jack.. must be a stereo jack!

It's usually written TRS, though, so read upward! ;)

Thanks to all who gave me the info I was looking for so quickly. I appreciate it.

Andrew,
WillB was the one who bought it on TB, but he was kind enough to hook me up with it when he found out how much I wanted to give it a shot in my Sadowsky.

Jason,
I don't need more than 4 holes, but the holes don't line up and since Bongo shafts are fixed on the boards, they aren't moving without some technical surgery beyond my capabilities. As blasphemous as it sounds, I'm not even that concerned about extra holes in the Sadowsky as long as the preamp is a keeper...
I'm just not that sure if it's the "one" that I'm looking to throw into the Sadowsky. It certainly has an amazing range of sounds and has given me the bug to get myself a Bongo (even though another bass is the last thing I need.)

So I may end up just going with the full GB setup in this bass since I know that I am 110% happy with the sound of them, and while it doesn't have as angry of a tone as the Bongo electronics, it is quite versitile and still has all the punch I need.
The other thing is that it almost has too many sound options and I'm not a knob tweaker. I like to set something and leave it alone except for small adjustments here and there. With this, I may be too tempted to be constantly adjusting my tone and driving myself nuts.

Put down the drill and step away from the Sadowsky. Man, you've got more guts than I'd have. This is a career decision you're making here.
