I usually use my SABDDI between my Sterling, SR4 or SR5 and my amp, but last night was the first time I brought out the Bongo to a rehearsal and it just seemed like overkill. I didn't use the SA the whole night.

What's the consensus? Does the Bongo need a boost?

BTW: The band loved the Bongo's looks almost as much as its sound. The lead guitarist, who along w/me is kind of the musical director, is frequently telling me I'm too loud (we've been close friends for 35 years, so I just tell him to FO :) and it's okay). I KNOW I was loud last night, but he continually commented about how much he liked the Bongo. God of Thunder is an appropriate moniker.

Well my friend, I don't own a bongo, but I'm certain that with the 18v pre-amp, it's gonna pack plenty of punch without a boost.

Give it to em!
