You guys seen this Bongo on ebay?
is it good value?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4713&item=3715075470&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

My one criticism that i had of Stingray's was that they weren't as versitile as i wanted. However reading reviews and peoples comments, i think this bass might be exactly what i am after.
So as soon as i can find a way to get one at a good price imported to Australia, i will most defentley be making a purchace, i'm thinking either dual humbucker, or humbucker plus single coil.

Looks to be pretty good value, if it stays at around half list, but the seller has stated that he will ship to the US only.

The versatility of the Stingray is something I've heard people complain about before... I suspect some of these people haven't really tried one. I've got no problems with the versatility of my Stingray. Mind you, I'm hankering after a Bongo

Hey don't get me wrong, i love my stingray.

However, i reckon that extra bridge pickup will defentley give the Bongo some extra versitility.

yeah i noticed that they only ship to US. That is the problem living all the way down under.

I'm with you on that... plus there's an extra place to put your thumb! I was considering a second Stingray as a backup, but I reckon the Bongo will probably be the one I go for (not any time too soon)

Can anyone tell me how the neck compares with Stingrays and Sterlings? I get on with the wider string spacing better

Same here in the UK. Some ebayers are fine with it if you email them.
