Do any of you moderators know if there are going to be any bongo updates, like a better selection of paint and things like that?

If you do, I won't order one yet. if you don't, I'll have to wait a while anyway.

We usually come up with new color and options at the Winter and Summer Namm
shows.

If you have noticed we have been through a bunch of new colors over the past 4 years. Stay
tuned we have the Nashville show coming up in about 3 months. We will see what happens.

Derek, a few of us are holding off on a Bongo purchase w/the expectation that there may come a day when tanslucent or natural color options are offered (and an unpainted neck). Should we not hold our breath??
Whats the probability?
Thanks.

Moon Dog,

The Bongo is made out of Basswood. Great for tone, but not an attractive wood grain.

I doubt we would ever do a natural or trans finish
on this model. Unpainted headstock/neck is unlikely. We want theBongo to be different from all the other MM basses in sound and cosmetics.

Thanks

Derek

I hope new colors come out at the show in Texas. I'd love to see what EB is cooking up. That Olive Martin Green Bongo was a sight to behold.
