Hey,
Ive been thinking about adding a bongo or stingray or both to my arsenal of musical equipment. I was thinging maybe a (4 or 5)fretted stealth bongo and a fretless stingray.

I have been playing bass for 9ish years. Right now my main gigging bass is Rickenbacker 4003 which i love to death.

I play anything from The Fray to slipknot and everything inbetween.

I have never had a MM before and i think now is the right time to get one, what are your thoughts on the basses i have chose?

Thanks,
Thuummper

First off, Welcome to the forum. I suggest triyng them out for yourself to see which one suits you. If you like a Ric you may like the StingRay, especially the 30th anniversary. I have had many people say my 30th has a Ric tone, but thats the way I have it eq'd too, but the Bongo will knock your socks off ! Try them all.

Boy Thumper are you in for a big surprise!!!

Grab a "Bongo" and you're going to regret "waiting" so long!:)

I have to concur!

I purchased a Bongo HH 5string fretless w/piezo on ebay without ever even playing one before. Egyptian smoke with a black ice pickguard. After I placed my max bid I wasn't sure if I did the right thing. It arrived the day before yesterday. The playability of this thing and versatility of tone boggles the mind and I cannot put it down. I am buying a fretted version (not sure what color) as soon as I come across one.

IMHO you can't go wrong.

From one newbie to another, welcome!

I know the bongos have great pickupas and electronics and sound great. the only thing i dont like about its that i think its pretty ugly, but the sound is what matters

Play one for some minutes and you'll swear it's the most beautiful thing you ever saw.

I got my first Bongo on looks alone, didn't try it out at all, so I guess you can say I love the looks.
