Did MM offer "Ebony" fretboard as an option in the 70/80's on the stingray? Not the Cutlass. Was there different neck widths"? Thanks

They did offer Ebony but I believe it was in the 80s and not 70s. Aussie Mark has a 1976 Rosewood fretless and Pino Palladino has a 1979 Rosewood fretless.

The only fretless neck available in 1980 was Ebony.

Yes, but only for fretted Maple necks. They offered a "narrow" neck which I believe was similar to the Fender Jazz Bass with its narrower neck.

Make it up as I go along :p

Just taking a closer looking at pedullamvp5 's original post:

>>>Not the Cutlass.

My understanding is that the Cutlass didn't have a wooden frett board at all...it was all graphite, top and bottom.
