I found this snippet on TalkBass (from a "MrGump"):

Paul Bechtholdt writes for Vintage Guitar magazine,among others.He has written a book on G+L,and another on Danelectro.He has a book in the works on the history of Musicman(and more G+L).

Anyone know anything about this? A Google search found nothing.

Is this true or BS?

those sound like interesting books.( from someone who loves his Dano,G&L, & Stingray). Forrest White wrote a book about the early days at Fender and also touched on Music Man and G&L.
