Just sealed the deal today and now have # 27/50 added to the collection - only 46 more to go now! :D

Here's a couple semi-fuzzy pics from the seller, more to follow when it arrives...

Also picked up some *interesting* Morse-related guitars that aren't EBMM - will have to build a web page with info on them so that I can show those off without posting them here.

unreal Kevin!
I´m really surprised how many of the first 50 are available. But I think they are in good hands. I bet you won´t come further than 48, because #1 is with Steve and #2 is in the vault :)

btw. #27 appeared somewhere before because I found pics on my harddisc. Seems to be in an overall sweet condition. So here it is (note the violet switch-tip):

I wonder what happened to the neck SC ?

Thanks BP (BanjoPlayer, not Big Poppa!) - you've got better pics than I've got at this point. :)

One interesting thing your pic is showing is the scallop on the bottom edge of the angled single coil. I took some shots of my 46/50 over the weekend when I took the pickguard off to clean it up and it's the TOP edge of the straight single coil on that one that has the scallop? I'll have to do some comparison amongst what I have because looking like one of these has their single coil pickups reversed...

And, not sure where the guitar 27/50 has been for the whole 27 years - but I found it in the San Francisco "East Bay" area.

I'm pretty sure you can now be classified as a hoarder... Before any interventions go down, you should probably just give one of those to me!

this is sick man! you have to stop this! you can't pickup a morse guitar every second week....

but your collection is getting better and better, waiting for the day when you post something like "done! now i got 48 of 50"
or "steve sold me his Nr.1 to complete my collection" ;)

Jeez, with Kevin on the loose, I'm going to have to make sure #23 is safely locked up at night.

Wait! You've got #23?!

OK... checking the IP address you post from... tracerouting it back to the source... bringing satellite images to bear...

I'll be over for lunch to pick up it! :D

Joe,

Actually, this latest purchase was a set of SIX Morse-related guitars.

Besides 27/50, also got a Y2D in sunset purple - that I really don't need (since I have an identical one already), but never a bad thing to have another Morse around. Maybe that one can live at my office...

And I got some *interesting* guitars...

Back when Steve played his Franken-Tele, he had a pair of backup guitars made by DiMarzio (yes, DiMarzio made whole guitars at one point) - one was blue and the other natural. The collection included the natural DiMarzio.

Before Steve signed with EBMM for his siggy guitar, he had brief discussions with Guild - and they made a couple prototypes (based on an existing Tele-style model they had). The collection includes the only two known prototypes they did, plus one of the existing style (for comparison of the mods).

And I have no illusions of ever purchasing Steve's #1 - but he let me touch it! :) - however I do enjoy "the chase" of finding these guitars. By the way, you joining me for lunch at Beej's? :D

Kevin,
this is more than interesting. is there a way to see pics? I don´t know if it´s okay to post here, rather not, as it´s non-EBMM. But you could post a link to a photobucket or something like that...
I´m really impressed!
