Boss GT-6B // Stingray

I just tried this configuration yesterday and I'm really crazy about the tone i got...simply bloody beautiful!

Did you have any problems overloading the preamp models? I had that problem with my active basses.

Do you mean having an unwanted distorted output? If yes, I had no such problems - both with compressor/limiter on, and even when it was switched off.

no sorry mate, only streaming audio is available from myspace. Are you having problems hearing the clips?

I use the Boss ME-50. But I set the EQ flat and use the SR's on board 3 band. I find that I have more "on-the fly" versatililty this way. I use the pedal for the compressor (mild) and effects only.

I mean the bass by itself without the other instruments. Very hard to get an accurate representation of the gt-6/stingray combination when it's buried in the mix

no sorry at the moment the only bass solo i have recorded through gt6b is a slap bass solo on youtube - check out my signature to find the exact location

Are you using any of the preamp models in the recordings? What settings if you don't mind. Sounds great BTW.

yes i'm using the Trace Elliot model in that recording. I forgot the actual details because i left the pedal in the garage where i rehearse. However make you sure minimize the gain until you don-t hear distortion...that-s what you have to keep in mind
