I was in the middle of ordering a white silo when i came across a 20th anniversarry silo maple neck with tremelo and bought it instead. It doesn't have the sss config but thats what my BFR Al is for....it sure looks beautiful with the bookmatched alder the guitar is from 2006/7 and i see a few people have them lsited in their signature....how good is this guitar and what do you think of the overall playability of it.
P,S is it true there were only 172 made with the vinatge trem and 360 total world wide?.

Was shipped today and will be here in 7 days:).

I don't get it did you not like the overall feel of the 20th?

it had tons of vibe and i could just stare endlessly at it. but truth be told, i wasn't sold on the bent saddles (they don't go boink like a tuneomatic, that was what i was into at the time) and the pickups are not made for metal. rock yeah, but absolutely no classic/modern metal.

Parker,

I have a 20th and I love it. I spend about equal time between my 20th and my Silhouette Special (SSS). I play just about everything but metal and country. The 20th fits my playing very well. I suspect you'll find it to be a very good compliment to the AL.

in several threads here BP states, that it is one of his favourites and very special.
Unfortunately I did not play one so far

I've played one and loved it. But I don't know anything about the total production numbers.

I'd love to own another. Specifically, I'd love a quilt/piezo model. Maybe one day I'll come across one while I'm not trying to use the money for other things.

If i painted a skull and naked lady it would be fine for metal.

It is a great great guitar....in our top three ever

Ohhh.... the BFR Naked Silo!! Can that be custom ordered? What kind of skull and do we get to pick the naked lady? Haha...

Seriously, the 20th will do just about everything you would ever want tone wise and then some. Sure, no SSS sound but I think you are gonna like what you get... and if not please hit me up. I was looking at that guitar as well.

MB99 sounds like we could easily play in a band together i will not play country period...and the only metal i listen to is my tunned engine in my sports car.:D i was hoping that this guitar would fill a nich'e for blues and rock and by the sounds of the positive comments about it ,,,,i can't wait to play it.The gentleman i bought it off is a fellow Canadian and was a pleasure to work with.
and if Big Poppa says he has a special place in his heart for this guitar then thats more than good enough for me.
Thanks all you guys for your comments, great site and great bunch of gents!
