The 20th is an awesome guitar, I know you will love it. The only guitar I have ever played that I might like a little more is the 25th. But, the simplicity of the 20th is very appealing. You can do an awful lot with the three switch combination.
I think having a 20th and an AL you have just about all the bases covered.

The 20th is brilliant! You can do Metal with this thing no problem if you put some hotter PUPs in there. I replaced mine, but I will change them again to something with mid-gain output. The stock ones sounded good but a little weak for my style of playing...thinking the AT-1 in bridge and Air Norton Neck should yield an awesome combo for this guitar.

i dont think there is a no.1 or 2 position when it comes to these guitars i just think the 20th is the best guitar made to do everything its so well rounded But to play metal The Luke is my main axe for sure..
its feels like ive owned the 20th for ever and ive had it for 2 weeks thats why its so great!!!
