Ah, sad to report that my Audiophile cabinet is currently on the road with a friend of mine who (a) loved the sound and (b) needed a more reliable cab and (d) didn't mind the weight of that sucker.

So I'm back to my Sunn/Ampeg setup plus of course my Dream Peavey Rig.

Well, it's kind of a joke....but then kind of not.

I bought this cheap old Peavey 1-15 cabinet to leave in a bar where we often did open jams. It was the best way to make sure I could get a decent sound.....I think I paid 150 bucks for it.

Then a friend of mine had this Peavey Session Bass head dirt cheap so I bought that, too, or traded him something maybe.

Anyway, for the first time in over 25 years, I have a complete peavey rig! And by the way, it doesn't sound bad.

So anyway, I call it my Dream Peavey Rig.

Thanks. I am working on getting my Peavey rig. I love the sound Peavey makes for my style.

In my stable of goodies is a Peavey TKO 1x15 combo, 75 watts, I think. That thing is LOUD and I don't hate the sound, although my other rigs have better tone.

I had an old (1977) TNT that kept on ticking. I replaced the speaker w/a Carvin cause I was cheap at the time, and it sounded fine. But it was heavy as a mofo. Very usable gear that just won't quit. I always keep my eye out for used Peavey gear just in case.

What do those Audiophile cabs weigh? Heavy, aren't they?

Only thing about Peavey I don't like is they build that stuff to jump on. Man it is all heavy.

Tell me about it! I tote around an older TV 810 cab (the big carpet covered ones)... it takes two people to put it in the trailer...

Yup. I always said, "Great cabinet, but don't take it hiking."

It was up there, probably between 90 and 100 pounds. 2-12 version.

Jack's Peavey rig does in fact sound quite good. Handles the Bongo and the Wal with aplomb.

Found an old photo, I don't even have this amp anymore, but here are my cabinets, at least.
