Box to spare, for an SR or Bongo?

Not sure how many forumites are in the San Diego area, but for anyone who is, and who has a spare box that can accomodate the SR/Bongo case, I'll buy it from ya!

I hit both GC's in the area today - no luck. Need to ship ASAP. I picked up a case from the Carvin factory/showroom here in San Diego today & then realized (at FedEx) that my case stuck out the top of it by almost an inch. That's no good.

Anyway, if you've got one & can help a brother out, please PM.

If you've got a box that's just a bit short, find a bit of cardboard you need just to cap the exposed end. Use a heavy clear packing tape to get the job done.

Yeah, I figured I'd give this a quick shot before resorting to that. I also posted an ad on craigslist lastnight, which seems to have yielded results. There's a guy near where I work who's got one he'll give me. Score! Gotta love craigslist.

That's pretty cool. I have a box, but I'm on the other coast so that doesn't really help you at all. Since the box is oversized it'd probably cost a pretty penny to ship.

I guess I should consider ordering some from the sites I've seen where you can order them in multiples of 5 for pretty cheap. 5 for $25, I think. Might be practical to just keep a handful in the garage, since I seem to have a part time job buying/selling/trading basses.

That's why I always keep the shipping boxes whenever I buy another bass.

I think I may need it after all-- I'm selling my trans red '88 SR5. It's been my daily player for 15 years so it's pretty dinged up. I probably won't try to sell it here, though. This is a pretty tough crowd...
