BP ,

is that a Music man invention? the truss rod wheel??
it has to be one of the coolest innovations of the truss rod in years. makes adjustments so darn easy.

I have been wondering about the truss rods EBMM uses.
I heard they are single rods. are they? or are they the more modern double expanding ones?

another person i asked said they are like the vintage one way rods but thicker.

whats the truth on the rods that EBMM uses and keeps the neck so stable and sounding awesome?

cheers

Sure is a brilliant thing. When I need to do slide at a gig i just jack up the action a bit using the wheel, then back down when i'm done, even done it mid-song too, its that quick and easy!

Ok Rob, how did you do it "mid song"?????? And, how long did it take??
Oh, I see, you did it during the drum solo!!

Just teasing!!

Actually, I use my 7mm nut allen wrench to turn the wheel. So, I always have it ready to roll.

Great invention indeed. Every time I have to tweak the truss rod on other guitars I own, I end up getting pissed that it will take 10 times longer than a MM wheel.

Neck off... Or strings off... or pickgaurd off... What a pain!!
MM System is great!!

I'm with you Rob, i've adjusted mid gig plenty of times. Outdoor and evening gigs it can be a must, especially if there is a real temp of humidity shift.

The wheel is just in such a convenient location, no need to move or take off anything :)

The truss rod wheel is one of my favorite things about them. Just this past Friday night, I played in very humid conditions and started fretting out at the first three frets. A little tweak (~30 seconds, most of which was spent digging out the allen wrench) of the wheel between songs and I was back in business. Had to do it to both guitars. Thankfully they were both EBMMs.

Hey, u talkin to me? NY
Was this inspired by another guitar maker?
Jolana (Czeckoslovakian guitar maker) guitars have been doing this in early 70's.

It looks like this guitar maker also came up with the double strap button idea on the side of the body - just like what Anderson does. This guy might be the one guitar genius that no one here in the US has ever heard of until now.

What a time saver - it's perfect having everything under tension to to the truss rod adjustment - or would you rather take the neck off like my old tele???
