Its a dual action truss rod...I dont think it would work all that great if it was a single vintage type. It is great by the way!!! Just to add to the rest of the posts hehe. Cant imagine doing a set-up on any other guitar at this point. I have been spoiled, and its GREAT! :D

is this actually adjusted with the thumb, that is does it turn, or do i have to stick an allen key in a little whole to make adjustments?

sorry.. im new to have an EBMM.. don't have it in my hands yet.. its a gift im getting next week!

No worries, you have to stick an allen wrench or sometimes I use a little screw driver in the whole(s) to make the truss rod adjustment. If you can easily move it with your thumb, there's something wrong.

It looks like this guitar maker also came up with the double strap button idea on the side of the body - just like what Anderson does. This guy might be the one guitar genius that no one here in the US has ever heard of until now.

Well, I don't know who was a designer at Jolana in the 70s, but Jolana is (was) a company, not some guy

It is one of the coolest things about Musicman guitars. Well, I guess there are a lot of cool things about Musicman guitars.
