I think the idea of an interview with you and others like you is interesting, but are there others like you?

I mean, who in Fender would you ask to join BP? I like some Fenders purdy good, I really do, but it's big, it's faceless and it's a damned corporation with multiple "levels of Dilberts", as someone once said.

Gibson? Who from Gibson?

I guess maybe John Hall from Rickenbacker, but....he's a little testy most of the time. (But I like you, John, really. Don't sue me.)

Some of the smaller "boutique" builders might be interesting, but let's face it - Roger and Dan Lakin aren't really at the same table as Music Man, although I do not doubt the quality.

Ain't nobody like you, Biff. It would have to be just you and maybe Dudley at the table. And I'd vote for that.

Hell, I'd SUBSCRIBE for that.

BP could hold the new Stingray Classic in one hand..and Reflex in another...single pickup..

How's that for intelligent design and evolution!

Oh well, screw the Mag..I'll just subscribe to this thread.

I've tried for years to like Fender, but to be honest The Last Fender Bass that was ever worth the time was 1967 after that who knows what happened, So Ernie Ball Is making the Basses no one else has figured out how to make, So it's old Fenders Or Ernie Balls for me.

I was thinking more like some guys like John Hall, Michael Tobias, Ned Steinberger, Sadowsky and Sterling Ball of course

Fender and Gibson are not on that league, even if some of their instruments are good they are more like Wall Mart or any big corporate.

Anyway... i don't think thats ever gonna happen

you guys are right about our coverage since we dont advertise...you would think we were a tiny obscure boutique maker with the coverage we get.

If you mean boutique build quality, attention to finish, obsessive about every fine detail, and exquisite fretwork? Why...YOU ARE! You just don't know it yet THANK GOD!

Peace,

T
