Hey Karl and Jax

A lot was said and shots were fired. Jaxadam Im sorry that you arent happy here and you dont have to provide any proof of interest. YOu guys never clarified anything there just posted here how much you liked the tops.

Lets move on and try to have some fun and Im glad that karl recognizes a brilliant sense of humor.

The DCGL pictures sucked, period. Top "ratings" are figurative and subjective. The blue JP in this thread has one of the best flames I've ever seen. If the Walnut JP7 Pete gets is a quilt, I'm all over it.

I think that some of the attitudes over here are getting old, and I think that it's starting to get noticed a lot of places, whether people are publicly saying anything about it or not. I think a majority of the people over here are great, there are just a few loose cannons who give some threads a bad name.

Wow guys... This is a SERIOUSLY NASTY thread. I can't believe the bile being spewed here... It's unreal! (Not you Big Poppa!)

And the sad thing is that the issue is BEING BLOWN WAY OUT OF PROPORTION!!!
You guys really need to get some perspective here...

We were not "Bashing" EBMM or the BFRs at all! So before you're all out baying for my blood, let me just say that many of us users over at sevenstring.org are EBMM players, myself included, and that's simply because the JP7 is one of the best, if not the best model on the market, and a lot of us were excited about the BFRs. We saw some pictures on the Drum City Guitar Land site, and thought they looked poor.

See for yourselves: http://drumcityguitarland.com/inventory/images/3327.jpg

Now, a few of us who were already users here, came and discussed the issue openly right here on the EBMM forum, and we all seemed to have agreed that the issue was with DCGL's pictures! I thought the issue was done and dusted right there, untill it's seemingly come up again now.

I for one, am certainly not "Bashing" at all, and since getting my JP7 I've been doing nothing but singing praises for EBMM. Every other pic of the BFRs I've seen have been nothing less than gorgeous.

Seriously guys, this is a misunderstanding, so calm down.

Karl, I read the thread, the entire thread over there and while you may not have said much of anything, certain other contributors did. You know who I'm talking about and anyone who read it knows, too. No point in flogging it any more.

I think the discussion here has been pretty level-headed, considering what a pain in the ass this sort of thing is for EBMM. (And that we're all fanboys.)

I'm glad to hear you're not bashing. I think the best way to move forward at this point is to call it a thread. Call it an ISSUE. Let it go.

As far as I can tell, you've expressed your opinions here and elsewhere and did it with a certain amount of 'people skills' that others may have lacked. Good for you, I say. Not so good for those others - not just on the EBMM Forum, but life in general. There are ways to ask questions, to express opinions, to find information, and I've seen it done well and I've seen it done badly.

Anyway.

I say let's move on. All in favor, make a pirate noise.

Jax some of the attitudes are and so are some of the hot button topics. THe Fanboy is lame and what do you expect on a company forum? You guys can control your destiny on the sevenstring.com...that is just fabulous.

You may say that and might be true but our traffic and members are up and so is our business.

Tell me one attitude you would fix if you were boss? how about something constructive instead of bashing us and then dropping in like nothings wrong?
I like this post by you because it least is honest and not two faced.

If you notice the seven string thread which was bad ended up with me doing something positive about it by taking pics of all future bfr's so if you see a dealers photo you can cross reference ours and get a better idea.

The balls in your court if you care.

I think you're going out of your way to take pics of BFR's before they ship, because you found out that there are some bad pics out there.

I didn't knock anything about the guitars, I just knocked the attitude.

A while back, when ideas were getting thrown around before the BFRs were even thought of, SteveB and I thought a JP with a mahogany body and maple top would be awesome. Well, it came true. And hopefully, if Pete gets in what I particularly want, it will become a reality.

I read the thread on sevenstring.org.
EBMM got compared to Metallica! That made me sad.:(

The tops are hard to photograph, like this pic of my 20th SR5:

In case anyone wants to read the thread in question on sevenstring.org, it has just been bumped from page 14 to page 1 because of this thread.

I'm closing this thread. I think we've beaten it long enough.

BP can re-open it if he has anything to add, but other than that, we're done.

No Im taking pics out there because you guys wouldnt believe for 7 pages that someone could take a bad pic with a ****ty camera, instead your boys jumped on it must be our quality, our attitude, our top selection" We didnt take pics originally because we thought people could tell the difference between good and bad photography.

THis is closed.
