Bit of background to this - my Mum goes on holiday A LOT and had a really irritating habit of bringing me back fridge magnets from all these places I've never been to. So Trev and I retaliate by buying magnets every time WE go somewhere to try and even up this collection.
Anyhow - we have just come back from a few days with a friend of mine in Germany and we were on the hunt for a fridge magnet. EVENTUALLY, after looking in about 30 shops in Speyer and Heidelberg, we found the below - which just reminded us of BP.
So this now has pride of place on my fridge:
(please ignore me in the pic - I am both hungover and tired - have had about 3 hours sleep today and flown back and then braved the English trains to get home... those people who have experienced our trains know what I have gone through - anyhow I'm rambling... I'll be quiet and watch the footy and wait for my pizza to arrive...)
Other notable part of the trip was the FANTASTIC music shop called Sessions in Walldorf. We were taken here as we were told they were quite good for guitars and basses - but I did not expect, on walking into the bass room, to see HALF THE ENTIRE WALL COVERED WITH MM BASSES! As a result I've been able to compare my fav future finishes in the flesh and have fallen in love with Honeyburst all over again. Esp with tort. And a rosewood neck
As I told Tiffles when she rang me, I was too scared to take any of them off the wall and play them (and Trev wouldn't let me take pics.. awww), and their number also included 2 Bongo's in Egyptian Smoke - a 4 and a 5. I touched the 4 banger... and I think I want to touch one again
Blimey. This was meant to be a post with a pic. And that's it... Whoops
