Wow, I have to wonder what that custom finish is called!

And why there's a sticker over the extra hole in the control plate (left after installing the non-stock -- I mean, custom electronics)!

But in any case, I think I can get one of these custom finishes just for you!

Ah do reckon that this particular "Custom Finish" is called "Cherry Burst"...

Readily available for ordering whenever your Music Man-lovin' hearts want it for a meager upcharge of only $75 retail....

I am only selling this bass because I'm switching over to a 6 string guitar and could use the money from this to cover the cost of a very nice one.

Well, there ya go...splains a lot to me.

I have a one of a kind custom SR5 that BP made just for me.
Graphite Pearl, Moonstone PG. What makes it the one of the kind is the E 38685 serial number built on 10/02/03.

You should never see this bass on ebay but if you do I suggest snagging it no matter what the bid should go to.

Custom and cussed 'em don't mean the same thing but they do sound the same don't they?

You call it custom and BP has probably cussed 'em.

Now the cherry burst you have quoted and the burst shown in the photo is different?- right?
(I've ordered the guitar without seing Black cherry burst in the flesh, cos of the lack of AL's in Wales( UK )

One (a little bit worried) Spud

Hi Kevin!

The picture in the weblink you posted is Black Cherry Burst, one of my faves.

The picture earlier in this thread is plain Cherry Burst, reminiscent of the old G*bson finish for the L#s P@ul...

No worries, Kev!
